Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a technique we often use in physical therapy. IASTM works like a standard massage, but specialized instruments are used in place of a physical therapist's hands. These instruments allow more direct treatment of the soft tissues involved with movement.

Improved pain and joint mobility through the neurochemical benefits. Less need for anti-inflammatory medications like NSAIDs or Ibuprofen. Improved blood and lymphatic flow. Improved Range of Motion.

The goal of IASTM therapy is to promote healing and reduce pain. It does this by increasing circulation, breaking up scar tissue and fascia (connective tissue), loosening tight muscles, reducing inflammation, and stimulating nerves.
